my 10th post - still a long way to go

Yesterday I just went to Indonesia's Creativity Exhibition with my mom and dad--who brought cameras along with them. At first I didn't want to take pictures because I personally think it was kind of embarrassing because it's a public place and there were so many people passing by. But my dad kept telling me to do it (maybe it's because he just got himself a new SLR?) and so I obeyed him and this is one of the photos

Floral skirt Mango

Necklace bought in Bali

My mom's bag Prada

What do you think? Not bad right? Not trying to sound narcissist or anything but I actually like this photo hahahah thank you dad! and I think whoever made the painting is a genius, this is one of my favorites in the exhibition

Don't forget to leave comments fellas!

welcome back 1980s!

The 80s. Or as some people call it 'the time when fashion forgot'. I've become interested at it since I watched one of Gossip Girl's episodes titled 'The Valley Girls', which took place in the 1980s. These are my favorite pictures from the episode

Very cool right? When I look at these I can't even believe that the 80s has the worst style in fashion history. I think they looked awfully good here, especially the one where Kelly Rutherford was wearing the acid washed jeans oh yeah I want that look! Anyway, I've made another post about the 80s which I hope you'll like :)
Keep reading fellas!

leighton is so not like blair!

Who doesn't think Leighton Meester look good in this outfit?

She looks gorgeous right? This picture was taken at Chloe's opening boutique party in Los Angeles, April 23rd and Leighton herself was wearing a Chloe's dress. A couple of days after that, she was invited to Ellen Degeneres Show. As some of you might already know, every celebrity invited to the show has to give a donation to be auctioned off on eBay. And Leighton gave away this beautiful dress!

Yet at the same time when I was watching the show, I wondered, what would Blair do if she were in Leighton's position? What kind of donation would she give? Not a thing from her closet, probably haha. Well--I don't know exactly why I'm telling you this, I just think that Leighton did such a sweet thing. That dress could worth $1000. Or more.

TTFN,

made in Bandung

This is an accident, this morning I started to put on some clothes and decided to upload it here. Then when I labeled them on Lookbook, I realized that my outfits were all bought in Bandung! Well don't blame me, Bandung is a great city for shopping :]

Don't know why, but lately I'm obsessed with floral patterns! After this one, I think I'm going to buy me some more dresses HAHA

it gets a whole lot more expensive here

Okay so when I was browsing, I found this Dorothy Perkins magenta bow tulip skirt.

Very cute right? And when I looked at the price it's only US$22.66 but then I realized that it was the same skirt that I tried at Debenhams once! Yet here in Jakarta, it costs about US$50. Ahh I hate the fact that the skirt is twice the price than the one in USA. Never mind though, cause I wouldn't buy it anyway because it was too short on me. Really. It was supposed to be 5 cm above the knees but on me it was 10 cm. Gah.
TTFN,

jillian lewis

This is Jillian. She's in the top 3 of Project Runway 4. She's so awesome, her creations are just beautiful and unique! These are some of her designs which were on the Lewis Fall 2008 Fashion Week

Jillian has become my favorite in Project Runway 4 since she created a dress made out of actual candies! She was the only person who use edible materials so ahb-viously it was harder for her to make it since the candies kept falling down from her clothes. She finished it on the last minute, but it was worth it because she was the winner of the Hershey Challenge! Yay! Anyway, if you haven't seen the red dress I was talking about I'll show you later, okay?

TTFN,

HELLO!

Hello bloggers! Maybe some of you are wondering, why I chose Rhapsody as the name of my blog. Well first it's because I've always dreamed of having my own brand of clothing and if it came true I'd name it Rhapsody (because I also love music) and second it's because:

Rhapsody (plural rhap-so-dies)
Definition freeform musical composition: a composition that is often irregular in form, emotional in effect, and improvisational in nature

Yes I want to be different from others because I want to have my own style--not just follow it, and hopefully it'll be remembered by other people just like a rhapsody :))) Anyway that's all and I hope you'll enjoy my blog, please leave a comment. Say anything you like about my blog. It means a lot to me if you do!

Love ya xxx,
